At McDonald Hill, we want every guest to have a comfortable and memorable stay. We recognise that everyone's accessibility needs are different, and we've provided the following information to help you determine whether the property is suitable for you.

The chalet

• Designed for a maximum of two guests.

• All guests must be aged 18 years or over.

• Parking is provided close to the chalet.

• Access from the parking area to the chalet is via steps and is not wheelchair accessible.

• The chalet is located on a working farm with natural, uneven ground in the surrounding areas.

Property access

• Access to McDonald Hill is via a bridge with a 10-tonne weight limit and an approximate 3-metre width clearance.

• Guests travelling with oversized vehicles, trailers or heavy vehicles are encouraged to contact us before booking to confirm suitable access.

The property

McDonald Hill is a rural property in the Chittering Valley. Guests should be aware that the property includes:

• Natural bushland and paddocks
• Uneven ground and gravel surfaces
• Sloping terrain
• Farm animals and working farm infrastructure
• The Brockman River, an unfenced natural waterway with uneven riverbanks that may become slippery during winter or after rainfall

Guests should take care near the Brockman River at all times. Water levels and flow can increase during winter, and riverbanks may be slippery. Swimming, wading and fishing are not permitted.

The Hilltop Soak

The Hilltop Soak is located at the highest point of McDonald Hill, with panoramic views across the Chittering Valley.

Access is via a challenging uphill walk over natural terrain, including steep sections, uneven ground and loose surfaces. The trail may become slippery during or after wet weather.

Local wildlife, including snakes, insects and native animals, may be present. Guests should remain aware of their surroundings and stay on the designated walking trail.

Guests should only attempt the walk if they are comfortable walking on uneven terrain and have an appropriate level of fitness. If you have mobility limitations, existing injuries, medical conditions, concerns about your balance or fitness, or are unsure whether the walk is suitable for you, we recommend giving this experience a miss.

Guests must not depart for The Hilltop Soak after dark or while intoxicated or otherwise impaired.

Enclosed footwear must be worn when accessing The Hilltop Soak.

The wood-fired bath is season permitting and subject to weather conditions, fire restrictions, maintenance and operational requirements.
